Custom headers and footers with Elementor

MyListing supports custom Elementor headers and footers through Elementor Pro Theme Builder and Ultimate Addons for Elementor.

When a published template matches the current page, it replaces MyListing’s built-in header or footer. Add the logo, navigation, account links, search, cart, and any other required content to the template itself. The header and footer settings under Theme Tools → Theme Options do not redesign these templates.

  1. Go to Elementor → Theme Builder.
  2. Add a Header or Footer site part, or open an existing one.
  3. Design the template in Elementor and select Publish.
  4. Set its display conditions. Choose Entire Site for a global template, or use include and exclude rules for specific content.
  5. Save the conditions and test the affected pages while logged in and logged out.

Elementor documents the current workflows for creating a header and setting template display conditions.

Ultimate Addons for Elementor includes a Header & Footer Builder that works with the free version of Elementor. Earlier versions used the names Elementor Header & Footer Builder and Header, Footer & Blocks for Elementor.

  1. Install and activate Ultimate Addons for Elementor.
  2. Go to UAE → Header & Footer and add a template.
  3. Choose Header or Footer, set its display rules and user roles, then edit it with Elementor.
  4. Publish the template and test every location included by its display rules.

MyListing detects active templates from this builder and renders them instead of the corresponding built-in header or footer. If matching templates are active in both Elementor Pro and Ultimate Addons, the Elementor Pro template takes priority.

  • Confirm the template is published and its display conditions include the page you are viewing.
  • Elementor Pro does not render Theme Builder headers or footers on pages that use the Elementor Canvas layout. Ultimate Addons can render its template there only when Enable Layout for Elementor Canvas Template? is enabled in that template’s settings.
  • Check responsive visibility if the template appears on desktop but not tablet or mobile.
  • Clear Elementor’s generated files and data, then clear any page, server, CDN, and browser caches.
  • If you use Ultimate Addons, confirm the plugin is active, the correct template type is selected, and the user-role rule includes the account used for testing.
