Package-based field visibility
Package visibility can simplify a basic plan and expose additional submission fields or listing-page content on higher plans. The rules test the WooCommerce product behind the assigned user package.
Limit a listing field by package
Section titled “Limit a listing field by package”- Create the Listing Package products and add them to the listing type under General → Packages.
- Edit the listing type, open Fields, and expand the field to control.
- Enable Enable package visibility.
- Under Show this field if, add a rule and select Listing Package, is equal to, and either an active product or No Package.
- Add other conditions or condition groups if needed, update the type, and test Add Listing, Edit Listing, and the published listing with each plan.
Conditions in one group are combined with AND. Separate groups are combined with OR. For example, two package conditions in separate groups can make a field available to either product. The listing title field is always available and does not expose this setting.
No Package matches a listing that has no assigned user package or package product. It is useful for listings created directly in wp-admin.
Where field rules apply
Section titled “Where field rules apply”The same field policy is used by the front-end Add Listing and Edit Listing forms, the listing fields shown in wp-admin, and front-end code that reads the field for listing output. A content block that relies on a field cannot display useful output while that field is unavailable.
Package visibility does not erase saved field data. If a listing later moves back to an eligible product, its earlier value can be shown again. Review existing data before changing rules, especially for contact or private information.
Limit independent content blocks
Section titled “Limit independent content blocks”Under Single Page → Content & Tabs, the Static Code and Google Ad blocks expose their own Enable package visibility control. Their rules use the same package products and No Package choice. Other blocks do not receive a generic independent package switch; field-driven blocks follow the availability of their selected field.
The Similar Listings section has a separate control:
- Open Single Page → Similar Listings.
- Enable Enable package visibility?.
- Enter the permitted WooCommerce package product IDs in Display Similar Listings for Package IDs, separated by commas.
This setting controls whether the Similar Listings section appears on a source listing. It is separate from field and content-block conditions.
Switching, expiry, and admin-created listings
Section titled “Switching, expiry, and admin-created listings”A package change can immediately add or remove fields and blocks from the form and listing page. Package expiry by itself does not delete the package reference or stored values, so test the actual listing state and assigned package in your workflow. Also test listings created in wp-admin, claimed listings, and subscription-backed listings; each can arrive at the same product through a different path.
