Set up or restore WooCommerce pages
WooCommerce normally creates Shop, Cart, Checkout, My account, and a draft Refund and Returns Policy page during installation. Recreate missing pages with WooCommerce’s tool, then verify both the page assignments and their content.
Create missing pages
Section titled “Create missing pages”- Go to WooCommerce → Status → Tools.
- Find Create default WooCommerce pages.
- Select Create pages.
- Go to Pages → All Pages and confirm that the required pages exist.
The tool creates a page only when WooCommerce cannot find the expected page. It does not repair an existing page whose content was deleted, choose between duplicates for you, or publish the Refund and Returns Policy draft.
With current WooCommerce, a newly generated Shop page has no page-body content, Cart and Checkout use their corresponding blocks, and My account contains the [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode. The assigned Shop page is a product archive, so leaving its editor content empty is normal.
Assign every page
Section titled “Assign every page”Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Page setup and set:
- Cart page
- Checkout page
- My account page
- Terms and conditions, if the store uses one
Assign Shop page separately under WooCommerce → Settings → Products, in the Shop pages section. Each functional page must be a different published page.
Do not replace My account with a Customer Account block. MyListing registers its dashboard pages as WooCommerce My account endpoints and expects the assigned page to render [woocommerce_my_account].
Restore the content of an existing page
Section titled “Restore the content of an existing page”The page installer will not overwrite an existing assigned page. Edit the affected page and use the matching content:
| Page | Content |
|---|---|
| Cart | WooCommerce Classic Shortcode block set to Cart, or [woocommerce_cart] |
| Checkout | WooCommerce Classic Shortcode block set to Checkout, or [woocommerce_checkout] |
| My account | [woocommerce_my_account] |
| Shop | No shortcode; assign the page as the Shop page |
After saving, clear page caches and test the pages in a private browser window. Do not cache Cart, Checkout, My account, order-pay, order-received, or add-payment-method responses as public full-page HTML.
Fix endpoint and redirect problems
Section titled “Fix endpoint and redirect problems”MyListing appends endpoints such as My Listings, Promotions, Bookmarks, and, when enabled, My Products to the My account URL. If the main page works but a subpage returns 404:
- Confirm the correct page is selected as My account page.
- Go to Settings → Permalinks.
- Select Save Changes once without changing the structure.
- Purge page and object caches, then sign in and retest.
If Cart or Checkout redirects to the wrong page, check for duplicate page assignments and confirm the selected page is published. If the checkout renders but does not have MyListing’s expected layout, inspect the page for a Checkout block before troubleshooting template files.
